This is a topic I am so excited to talk to you about.

Shadow work is a term that is frequently used in circulation to refer to the “internal work” that one is meant to do in order to reach greater spiritual heights, increase self-awareness, and connect with your true self/soul.

Your “shadow self” is the side of you that is not conscious to your own mind but still plays a very active part in influencing your behaviours and the way your mind works, therefore directly impacting your external environment (because we create our own realities).

In psychology, Freud analogises our consciousness to an iceberg: there is a part of the iceberg of our consciousness that is very much above the surface and readily accessible. However, there is a very large portion of our consciousness that is under the water, in the dark, and difficult to access consciously.
