I have always been an avid cruiser.

I think cruising is one of the most potent ways to incorporate good rest, good food and stress-free relaxation into a vacation. Those who have not cruised (properly) before, may disagree with me.

I understand how assumptions surrounding cruising generated through popular media and others’ bad opinions could skew society’s perception of cruising.

However, Virgin Voyages has completely changed the industry of cruising. The CEO, Tom McAlpin, nailed all elements of design, innovation and progressiveness in the new line of Virgin Voyages cruises and I would love to share with you the elements that I, personally, found awe-inspiring.

1. The Work-Life Balance of Staff

You may think that the happiness of staff is not going to directly impact your experience, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth.

Many cruise lines, especially the more traditional ones such as Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean Cruises and P&O, follow a general employee structure of working 6 months on, non-stop, with up to 18 hour days.
